Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to https://www.educrib.com and sets out the conditions under which refunds may be requested for paid plans, premium add-ons, advisory sessions, and event registrations on Educrib.
It should be read alongside our Terms of Use, Content Ownership & IP Policy, and Privacy Policy.
1. Overview & Scope
This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs all payments made to Mascot Techcrib Private Limited (trading as Educrib) through the platform at www.educrib.com and any associated applications. It sets out the conditions under which refunds may be requested, the process for raising such requests, and the timelines within which Educrib will act.
This Policy applies to:
- Paid institutional partners (colleges, schools, playschools, coaching institutes)
- Paid tutor and home-teacher profiles
- Paid educational consultants and service providers
- Any user who makes a payment for premium features, advisory services, or other paid offerings on the Educrib platform
By completing a payment on Educrib, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy. This Policy is incorporated by reference into Educrib's Terms of Use and should be read alongside the Education Support Policy.
2. Products & Services Covered
The following paid products and services are currently available on Educrib and are subject to this Policy:

| Advisory Services (In-House) | Educrib in-house institutions discovery, career pathway, and scholarship assistance sessions, where applicable and separately priced. |
| Event Registrations | Where Educrib organises or facilitates paid educational events, workshops, or webinars. |
3. Paid Partner Subscription Plans
Educrib offers subscription-based plans to institutional and individual partners. Subscriptions are pre-paid for a defined plan period (annual, as applicable at the time of purchase). The following general principles apply to all paid plans:
- Subscription fees are charged upfront at the start of each billing period.
- Educrib will send a renewal reminder to the partner's registered email address at least 7 days before the renewal date.
- Partners are responsible for ensuring their payment method remains valid and up to date to avoid service interruption.
- GST and other applicable taxes are charged in addition to the plan price and are non-refundable.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 Cancellation by Partners
Partners may cancel their paid subscription at any time by:
- Logging into their Educrib partner dashboard and selecting "Cancel Plan" under Account Settings, or
- Emailing [email protected] with their account details and cancellation request.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The partner's profile and features will remain active until the expiry of the paid term. No further charges will be made after cancellation is confirmed.
4.2 What Happens to Your Profile on Cancellation
Upon cancellation and expiry of the paid term, the partner's profile will revert to free listing status. Features exclusive to paid plans — including article publishing, premium placement, and enhanced media — will be deactivated. The partner may choose to retain a basic free listing or request full profile removal.
4.3 Cancellation by Educrib
Educrib reserves the right to cancel or suspend a partner's subscription in the following circumstances:
- Breach of Educrib's Terms of Use, Content Ownership, or any other applicable policy
- Submission of false, misleading, or fraudulent information on the platform
- Non-payment or failed payment after reasonable notice
- Activity that poses a risk to students, other users, or the platform
Where Educrib cancels a subscription due to policy violations by the partner, no refund will be issued. Where Educrib cancels for reasons not attributable to partner fault (e.g., service discontinuation), Section 11 applies.
5. Refund Eligibility
Educrib will consider refund requests in the specific circumstances listed below. Refunds are not automatic and are subject to verification. All refund requests must be submitted in accordance with Section 7.

| Cancellation request submitted within 48 hours of first-time subscription payment, where the partner has not yet published any content or received any enquiries via the paid profile | Refund considered at Educrib's discretion, subject to verification that the profile has not been activated or used. GST is non-refundable. |
| Educrib discontinues a specific paid plan tier or core feature that was a material reason for the partner's subscription | Pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the plan period, or an equivalent credit toward an alternative plan. See Section 11. |
| Payment made due to an Educrib system or billing error | Full refund of the erroneous charge, with written confirmation to the partner. |
6. Non-Refundable Situations
The following situations do not entitle a partner or user to a refund under any circumstances:
Change of mind after 48 hours
A partner decides they no longer wish to use Educrib after 48 hours of purchasing a paid plan. No refund will be issued for any unused portion of the subscription.
Failure to use the platform
A partner who does not log in, update their profile, publish content, or engage with the platform during the paid period is not entitled to a refund on grounds of non-use.
No guarantee of enquiries, leads, or student responses
Educrib does not guarantee a specific number of student enquiries, profile views, leads, or responses from prospective students in exchange for a paid subscription. The volume and quality of enquiries or leads received through the platform depends on multiple factors outside Educrib's control, including the partner's profile completeness, location, course offerings, and market demand. Dissatisfaction with enquiry volume, lead quality, or student response rates does not constitute grounds for a refund.
Suspension or removal for policy violations
Where Educrib suspends or permanently removes a partner's listing due to breaches of Educrib's Terms of Use, Content Ownership and IP Policy, no refund will be issued for the remaining plan period.
Cancellation after 48 hours
Requests for plan cancellation and refund submitted more than 48 hours after initial payment are not eligible for a cash refund. Pro-rated credits may be offered at Educrib's discretion.
GST and transaction fees
Goods and Services Tax (GST) and any payment gateway transaction fees applied to the original charge are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Advisory and consultation sessions already delivered
Fees for in-house advisory sessions that have already taken place (even partially) are non-refundable.
Event registrations after the event has commenced
Registration fees for events, workshops, or webinars that have already begun or been fully delivered are non-refundable.
Branding & Advertising Services
Fees paid for branding packages, banner placements, sponsored listings, featured advertisements, or any other advertising and brand-visibility services on Educrib are strictly non-refundable once the campaign or placement has been activated or gone live, regardless of the number of impressions, clicks, or enquiries generated. Branding services are delivered on a best-efforts basis and Educrib makes no guarantee of specific reach, visibility outcomes, or return on investment.
Cost-Per-Lead (CPL) Campaigns
Payments made for Cost-Per-Lead (CPL) campaigns are non-refundable. Under a CPL arrangement, Educrib charges the partner for each verified lead delivered — defined as a student or parent whose contact details (name, phone number, email, and course interest) have been shared with the partner following an OTP-verified enquiry or expression of interest. Educrib does not guarantee that any delivered lead will result in admission, enrolment, payment, or any other conversion. No refund or credit will be issued on the basis that a lead did not respond, did not attend, was not interested, or did not convert into a student.
7. Refund Process & Timelines
7.1 How to Request a Refund
To submit a refund request, partners must email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request — [Account Name]" and include the following:
- Registered account name, Institution ID and email address
- Payment reference number or transaction ID
- Date of payment and amount paid
- Plan or service for which the refund is requested
- Reason for the refund request, with supporting evidence where applicable (e.g., screenshots of technical errors, duplicate payment confirmation)
7.2 Review & Response Timeline

Educrib will notify the partner in writing of the outcome of every refund request, whether approved or rejected, with reasons provided in the case of rejection. Partners who are dissatisfied with the outcome may escalate via the complaints process described in Educrib's Education Support Policy.
7.3 Refund Method
All approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of purchase (credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, or equivalent). Educrib does not issue refunds via cash, cheque, or bank transfer to a different account unless the original payment method is no longer active, in which case Educrib will contact the partner to arrange an appropriate alternative.
8. Pro-Rated Credits
In situations where a cash refund is not available but Educrib acknowledges that the partner has not received full value for the subscription period, Educrib may, at its discretion, offer a pro-rated credit. A pro-rated credit:
- Is applied to the partner's Educrib account as a balance to be offset against a future renewal or plan upgrade
- Is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance
- Is non-transferable and has no cash value
- Cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts unless Educrib expressly permits
- Will be confirmed in writing to the partner's registered email address
The decision to offer a pro-rated credit in lieu of a refund rests entirely with Educrib and will be communicated as part of the refund review outcome.
9. Payment Gateway & Transaction Fees
All payments on Educrib are processed by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment gateways, including Razorpay and PayU. Educrib does not store credit card, debit card, or UPI credentials.
Payment gateway transaction fees charged by the gateway provider at the time of original payment are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for the refund. Where a refund is approved, the refund amount will be the original payment minus any non-refundable gateway fees and applicable GST.
If a payment fails due to a gateway error but your bank account has been debited, please allow up to 7 business days for the amount to be automatically reversed by your bank. If the reversal does not occur within this period, contact us at [email protected] with your transaction reference.
10. Disputed Charges & Chargebacks
If you believe an incorrect or unauthorised charge has been applied to your payment method, please contact Educrib at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer. Educrib will investigate and resolve genuine billing errors promptly.
11. Service Discontinuation by Educrib
If Educrib discontinues a specific paid plan tier, a core feature that was a material component of a partner's current subscription, or the Educrib platform entirely, Educrib will:
- Provide at least 30 days' written notice to affected partners via their registered email address
- Offer either (a) a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the paid subscription period, or (b) an equivalent credit applicable to an alternative plan or service, at the partner's election
- Where no equivalent alternative is available, issue a full pro-rated refund for the unused period
12. Advisory & Consultation Services
Where Educrib offers paid in-house advisory services (college discovery sessions, career pathway advisory, scholarship assistance), the following refund terms apply:

13. Special Circumstances
Educrib acknowledges that exceptional situations may arise that fall outside the categories described in this Policy. In such cases, partners or users may contact [email protected] to request a discretionary review. Educrib will assess each case individually and communicate its decision in writing.
Circumstances that Educrib may consider under this clause include:
- Serious illness or bereavement of the account holder, supported by relevant documentation
- Natural disasters or government-mandated closures directly preventing the partner from operating or benefiting from the subscription
- Verified identity theft resulting in an unauthorised subscription purchase
14. Amendments
Educrib reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Paid partners will be notified via email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. The updated Policy will be posted on the Educrib website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
This Policy supersedes the interim refund framework set out in Section 7 of the Educrib Education Support Policy. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the interim framework, this Policy shall prevail.
